The project is a captivating blend of history and modernity, with two restored historic residences, Crown House and Bankhaus, merging to grace Government Hill.

Crown House Reestablished.

Once completed, Crown House will encompass around 6,600 square feet of owner-operated professional office and venue space for community gatherings. In addition to serving as the headquarters for Crystal Blue Operations, the building will support public events that promote community engagement and provide a nurturing environment for local entrepreneurs, offering a platform for collaboration.

Program. The redevelopment plans for the building aim to transform the existing structure into a state-of-the-art facility with meeting rooms, gathering spaces, and halls for events, alongside professional offices. Additionally, the redesign includes natively landscaped parking areas and gardens, to create a sense of place within the historic neighborhood.

History of Crown House. Originally attributed to 1740, Crown House's documented history begins in earnest in 1822 when it exchanged hands from Peter vonScholten to Jurgen Levien Rode, two notable governors of the Danish West Indies. Occupied by Captain Rode and his family until 1854, Crown House witnessed a succession of ownership changes before being lovingly restored in the 1980s. Their meticulous attention to detail brought new life into this historic residence, preserving its architectural heritage for future generations.
